The 15th Pediatric Rheumatology European Society Congress

Rheumatology Medical Congress Location: London, United Kingdom Date: 14 - 17 September 2008

The Congress will have several related components: young investigators meeting before the meeting, and for the second year, PReS will provide a bursary for young investigators to attend and participate in the main conference. There will also be educational programmes separately for medical and AHP on the Sunday preceding the main scientific meeting. The philosophy of the meeting is to link clinical observation with research, and translation of research back into treatment for patients. For the first time the congress will try to have a more multidisciplinary feel so that all health professionals will be encouraged to come to the plenary sessions.

The programme of the meeting will cover 4 main topics through keynote lectures, abstract presentations and supported by educational workshops: juvenile arthritis, juvenile dermatomyositis, vasculitis and pain. There will be novel symposia such as sport and exercise in young people and adolescents with inspirational speakers. All accepted abstracts will be published online as a supplement to Pediatric Rheumatology and printed in the Final Programme or provided on CD to be distributed at the Congress.
