2009 Annual Meeting of the European Group for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (EBMT)

 

In the interdependent world of the 21^st century where achievements in the field of medicine are becoming increasingly complex, EBMT meetings encompass not only an educational mission, but also an opportunity for communication of scientific news during oral and poster sessions. Within the Working Parties and at informal meetings with co-workers and friends, new projects will be discussed and planned. The Göteborg congress will provide not only an excellent opportunity to acquire new knowledge, but also facilitate international cooperation in a spirit of curiosity, openness, and social interaction.

 

Göteborg is the second largest city in Sweden and is well adapted to host international meetings. The Göteborg Convention Centre is perfectly suitable for the needs of an EBMT meeting with the conference facilities located in the centre of Göteborg. Three thousand seven-hundred hotel rooms are within 20 minutes walk from the convention centre, and the city-centre location implies that virtually all amenities – cultural events, shopping, entertainment and restaurants – are within easy walking distance.
